I can create book covers for your novel or short story in the following genres: historical, sf&f, erotica, paranormal, romance, and mystery.

I've already created seven e-book covers for Regency Romance author Lesley-Anne McLeod.

more than 2 characters, or an elaborate background (the piece at right has what I consider an elaborate background; the other two examples on this page do not), will increase the price somewhat.

1. payment is 1/2 upfront, 1/2 after the completion of the commission, and is through PayPal only.

5. we can negotiate your purchase of a print or the original art if you like (but I reserve the right not to sell the original).

2. your commission will be completed within two months of our agreement.

6. please inform me beforehand of the image dimensions your cover requires (your publisher's guidelines).

3. you are buying the right to use the book cover/painting for promoting your e-book (on or offline). you are also buying the right to license your publisher to use the book cover in conjunction with your novel/short story. I retain the painting's copyright as well as the right to use the book cover in my own off/online galleries and promotions; however, I will always note your name and link your site/book when doing so. I will never sell prints/products of your book cover nor will I sell rights for its use to anyone else.

7. I will email you the sketch, after which you can request one significant change and a reasonable number of minor ones. halfway through completion of the painting, I will email you an in-progress image, after which you can request (reasonable) minor changes. after this point I won't make any more changes. any significant changes above and beyond these will be $25 each.

4. you are buying a high resolution digital image (600dpi tiff). if you would like I can also send you a jpg sized for online use or your publisher's use (otherwise you can resize the high-res version to your liking).

8. you're welcome to send me inspirational images or reference pictures to explain what you want, but I won't copy anything (photos, celebrities' likenesses, artworks) exactly.

look around my gallery to get a feel for my artistic style, especially in the book covers I've already done.
my art is influenced by Japanese manga/anime & Disney animation.
I like art nouveau, intricate details & ornamentation, and symbolism.
I don't do cars, machines, robots, large industrial cityscapes, etc.
my art is strongly focused on humans--or elves, faeries, kemonomimi (humans with animal features) humanoid aliens, etc!.. it's figure-centric (and fashion-centric; I love costume design).

$75 - full colour (Photoshop painted) w. a background
$60 - full colour (Photoshop painted) w. no background

$65 - pencil shaded w. a background
$50 - pencil shaded w. no background

$55 - pencil line art w. a background
$40 - pencil line art w. no background

these prices are for my standard, full-page (9x12") artwork;
for other sizes, the price changes accordingly (for example, half-page pencil line art w. no background would be about $25).
these prices are estimates only! after discussing your idea i will have a more accurate price for you.
(for example, complex backgrounds/more than one character will increase the price somewhat).
